Allan Miller Driving School is a Registered Training Organisation (RTO number 40118) providing high quality driver training for the learner.

Learning to drive is not just about getting a licence, it is about ensuring the student driver has the information to be prepared to drive well, for life.

  • Building rapport: Our goal is to establish a working relationship between the student driver, supervisor and instructor, creating a team approach to learning to drive. Come to our Free Information Evening and find out more.
  • Provide value and structure to learning: Allan Miller Driving School provides value learning; we believe that by meeting early in the student driver education process we add value and structure to lessons.
  • The first lesson: We think there is great value in having the instructor give the initial driving lesson; it eases nerves, promotes awareness and learning from day one.

Statistically, Learner Drivers are among the safest drivers on the road. However, as soon as a driver obtains their provisional driver's licence, they become the group most at risk on the road (with a 20 or 30 times increase in the risk of harm). Our mission is to equip young drivers with the knowledge and skills they need to stay safe on the road - after they gain the independence of a driver's licence.

September 2010 – Most people are unsure about when or if to indicate when leaving a roundabout. This is something that we should be aware of as the current penalty is 2 demerit points and the associated fine is approximately $240. The South Australian Handbook states: At all times, you should signal with your indicators to let other drivers know your intentions. Immediately before leaving the roundabout (i.e. when passing the exit before your exit) you must signal with your left indicator, unless it is impracticable to do so. This applies to turning left and right or continuing straight ahead. This tells drivers waiting to enter the roundabout where you intend to exit.
